There are so many wonderful things about living in Canada, but one of our favourite things is being able to experience all four season; Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. There truly is something magical about each season. From watching all those delicate snowflakes cover every inch of this beautiful landscape, to witnessing all the living things around us come to life in Spring, those hot summer days we’ve all been longing for that leave our skin a little more golden, and of course you can’t forget about the magnificent colours that surround us as all the leaves change to vibrant reds, oranges and yellows. Bringing in the sights and scents of each season into your home is a great way to celebrate and embrace them. With Fall just around the corner, we encourage you to incorporate some seasonal favourites into your home.

We are so excited for Fall and all that it has to offer and we’re anxious to get out to all the local hot spots to pick some apples and pumpkins. We also can’t wait to start incorporating some of our favourite Fall things into our home. Fall is a time of harvest, the time to reap what’s been planted in the Spring and a time to gather nature’s bounty, the fruits, veggies, nuts and grains. Pumpkins, apples and gourds are the stars of the season, pumpkins, in particular, seem to scream autumn, so they are a must when decorating for Fall. We love placing these little guys in every nook and cranny; window sills, shelves, trays, tables they look adorable wherever you put them. We have a great selection of ceramic, wood and felt pumpkins in all different sizes and shapes so come in and fill a basket, we know you’ll be able to find the perfect spot for them!
Creating a homey Fall atmosphere doesn’t necessarily mean you have to fill your space with themed items. You can go the more subtle route and add in pieces that reflect some of the many beautiful smells and colours of the season. Fall, in particular, offers a great selection of colours to choose from; rustic reds and oranges, bright yellows and earthy browns. All of these can really make a lovely impact and is a great way to bring fall into your space. Candles are a great way to make your house smell like freshly baked pumpkin treats without having to do any baking. Like we’ve said before, Fall is known for all it’s cozy layers and sweaters. With the cooler temperatures, we can turn off the AC and have those windows open again. There’s nothing we love more than the feeling of crisp, cool air blowing through our windows, but it does cool the house down quickly. Having comfortable, cozy blankets and throw pillows to cuddle up with is a must at Fall time. In our opinion you can never have enough blankets and pillows, they look beautiful draped on your couches, chairs and beds, folded on shelves and wrapped around you and the ones you love.
