'Tis the season to deck the halls with the symbol of winter – the Poinsettia! Our Garden Centre is still bursting with hues of red, white, and pink, and we're basking in the holiday spirit daily!
At the heart of the Poinsettia's charm are its vibrant red blooms, a timeless representation of the season. In times past, red was the sole variety available, but now, our selection has expanded to include a delightful array of colours.
As we dive into our Holly Jolly Christmas sale, it's the perfect time to snag these festive beauties! Poinsettias traditionally unveil their brilliant colours in November & December flourishing over the holidays. This makes them an ideal choice for spreading holiday cheer as hostess gifts or tokens of gratitude.
When finding the ideal spot for your poinsettia at home, ensure it basks in indirect, bright light. Steer clear of drafty windows, doors, or toasty fireplaces, as poinsettias thrive in a temperature range of 15-22 degrees Celsius (65-75 degrees Fahrenheit). Maintain a watering routine every other day, allowing the plant to drain completely before its next drink. To prevent water-logging, remove the pot or foil wrapper, water the plant, let it drain, and then return it to its festive vessel.
A friendly reminder that Poinsettia plants are mildly toxic if ingested, so please keep them away from your curious pets and children.
