Alley Biniarz | Meditation in the Gardens: Coming Home to Yourself (Sun., Apr. 27 @ 9:30 AM)

Workshop Description: This Meditation in the Gardens series will guide us into our bodies through a series of embodiment and attunement practices. As a society, we are increasingly living in our minds and with that, abandoning our bodies and spirits. By tuning back into our bodies and coming home to ourselves, we can access true health and vitality. This workshop will use gentle energy movements, shaking, and vocal activation to help bring us into the rhythm of our bodies, the rhythm of our home, and reconnect us to our path and purpose here. We will be moving our bodies, but there will be adjustments given for those who would like modifications; this is our individual practice, and it is always best to listen to our bodies.
Please bring a yoga mat and blanket, pillow, journal + pen/pencil and any other comfort items. We will end this practice with a sharing circle.

About Workshop Host: To know Alley Biniarz is to know that she (in classic Libra and Manifesting Generator fashion) has a dozen different bios, all relevant to her deep love for knowledge, research, community wellness, and our connection to Mother Earth. She thinks of herself as a storyteller, gardening teacher, and simplicity advocate.

Tending to her curiosities led her down the path of journalism with an MFA in Creative Nonfiction, with an eventual weaving of this writing work with ancestral healing, embodiment, nature reconnection, and creating containers for our tender words. Blending these loves of hers together has brought her to guiding spaces that encourage us to tap into the rhythms and cycles of nature, as well as the seasons of our bodies.

Alley is perpetually questioning modernity, technology, and the endless growth mindset. She believes the true source of wellness is found in simplicity and having our hands in (or around) soil. She feels most alive when she's in communication with plants; as a folk herbalist, land steward and regenerative gardening teacher, she loves to listen to the stories that the medicines of our Earth have to offer and does her best in her humanness to translate. Her life's work is to move gently on this Mama Earth and to teach others how to do the same.
