Summer days are always jam-packed full of activities and adventures so we often find ourselves looking at the clock and being unsure how we missed a few meals- that's why when we came across Laid Back Snacks, we knew we had to have them! About Laid Back Snacks:
"Creating a more relaxed world, one snack at a time.
Before starting Laid Back Snacks (formerly Naked Snacks) I didn’t know what a walnut looked like. Sad story, but true.
I did know that my food choices were terrible. Snack time looked like dessert at a four-year-old’s birthday party. The sugar crashes and empty calories were doing nothing for my health and wellbeing.
The reason for my mindless munching? “Healthy food is boring and doesn’t taste good”. To make the switch I’d need products that were more than just healthy, they’d have to be delicious too.
It’s been a hugely rewarding and taste-bud-popping journey since then. Laid Back Snacks is about more than just our products. We’re about celebrating delicious food with friends and family, living a healthy and active lifestyle, and enjoying the small things – like that extra handful of Hearty Tamari.

Laid Back Snacks are all about whole foods - their nutritionist and product designers have developed all the snacks with an 80/20 nutritional philosophy in mind: 80% whole grown goodness, 20% earned indulgence as a reward for making smart decisions.
All natural, all good. They use organic ingredients in most of our snacks to make sure that you, and those you care about, are fuelling up with high-powered food!
A nutritionally balanced snack that doesn't contain:
- No artificial colours, flavours, or sweeteners
- No harmful preservatives
- No more than 170 calories per 28-gram portion
- No high fructose corn syrup
- No trans fats

Community
Giving back has been at the core of Laid Back Snacks since it was founded. Partnering with The Breakfast Club of Canada to donate a snack for every snack box sold to help feed kids in need. In 2021 they expanded their community contributions to partner with the West Coast Kids Cancer Foundation, stocking the oncology clinic at the BC Children’s Hospital. As a family run business they have a soft spot for organizations that support families in need.
Planet
The details are important at Laid Back Snacks and when it comes to sustainability, it's their goal to reduce waste at every step. Instead of just shipping snacks in a box, they made sure the quality of our boxes and snack pouches can be recycled or repurposed. As a BC based business operating in Vancouver, keeping our ingredients and labour local is their way of celebrating their Canadian roots and reducing our carbon footprint.
