Bringing Anna's Home | Spring

Bringing Anna's Home | Spring

In a world where home décor trends come and go, one constant that has remained is the beauty and tranquillity that plants bring to our living spaces. Every spring, when it’s still too cold to put plants outside, I give in to the itch and buy more plants for my house. This normally keeps me happy until it’s warm enough to do my outdoor pots. Don’t have a green thumb? Don’t worry, I didn’t always either. I love Anna’s because they have a selection of low-maintenance plants that thrive indoors. One of them is the Peace Lily. They have a rich green colour, which warms up any space, and they get these pretty white flowers on them. Throw it in a cute pot, like these I found at Anna’s, and you’re all set! I have many of these around the house because they are versatile; my fireplace mantel, office, living room, and kitchen table offer endless possibilities!

I love using plants in my home when they're functional! Like herbs! I love having fresh herbs in the kitchen. Yes, it’s a plant, so it naturally brings warmth, tranquillity, and all that good stuff too. My recent trip to Anna's made me realize the need to completely refresh my sink riser. I found some rosemary and wait until you see this cute little bird! I was immediately obsessed. Then naturally, I had to buy new hand soap too (Avocado & Sea Salt, which smells amazing btw); It’s funny how things escalate. To my surprise, the rosemary fit perfectly on the riser with everything. It’s going to be a while before I get tired of these new additions. The bird, though… how cute?

There is something incredibly rewarding about nurturing plants and watching them grow. I’m beginning to create a sanctuary in my home office. Not only do the plants look beautiful, but they also improve my well-being while working. Studies show that having plants indoors can reduce stress, increase productivity, and purify the air. And well, don’t we all need more of that while we work? In my office, I combined a trailing plant (Velvet-Leaf Philodendron) with a 6” Boston Fern, and again, the infamous Peace Lily. Anna’s also had this incredibly beautiful blanket with a nice weight to it, which really warms up my office space (and me!). It sets a different tone to the start of your workday when you can sip your hot coffee, wrapped in a blanket, surrounded by plants.

If you’re not ready to brave the live plants yet, or just looking for some stems, Anna’s has an absolutely gorgeous selection of stems and other faux greenery that brighten up any spaceI am often drawn to this type of décor due to its always-perfect look and the fact that there is no maintenance with it. These give the same, warm, tranquil feeling that live plants do, and they look like the real thing! I was immediately drawn to these peony stems, a perfect spring addition, and paired with these stunning gold candlesticks, it’s perfection. I like to place vases with stems in front of a mirror to give the stems a fuller look.

If you are looking for some new vases to put your stems in, Anna’s is also the place for that! They have a wide selection of pots and vases. This brown vase was the perfect addition to my bedside table, paired with a few faux stems, a decorative butterfly, and a new pillow. From throw blankets, throw pillows, and all things throw, Anna’s has what you need to cozy up any space.

Well, as you can see, Anna’s did it again, offering all the things I needed to give my home the perfect spring refresh. What does your spring refresh look like?

Nice article. Can’t wait for annuals to come in. Just watch peace lilies around kids. My toddler tried to eat one of the white centre spikes.
Also the “escalation” you mentioned is called the Diderot effect FYI
