Tate’s Bake Shop Crispy Cookies

Tate’s Bake Shop Crispy Cookies

If you’re anything like us, these cooler temperatures have us cozying in with all the layers and candles, not to mention treats! This week we’re excited to share a new female-founded business story highlighting Tate’s Bake Shop Cookies- the perfect fall snack!

Based out of Southhampton, New York, Kathleen King mastered the taste of home with a uniquely crispy and deeply delicious cookie recipe! Founded in 2000, Kathleen says her love for baking dates back to age 11 when she would sell small batches of her crisp, buttery chocolate chip cookies off of a fold-out card table on her parents’ farmstead- six for $0.59.

Now toted as America’s No. 1 chocolate chip cookie, according to both Consumer Reports and Rachel Ray, you must be wondering what it is that makes Tate’s treats so delicious? It is something they refer to as “the bake shop way”. The bake shop way is Kathy’s commitment to uncompromising quality and bake-craft. It is nourishing the soul and delighting the world with exceptional taste experiences. It is what guides everything they do.

In 1980, when Kathleen was 21, she rented a space her mother spotted and opened her first bake shop. She developed a full line of traditional American baked goods, perfecting every recipe herself and baking each dessert from scratch. Named after her father, Tate’s Bake Shop was the result of Kathleen’s love of baking and keen eye for quality.

Tate’s Bake Shop has been Voted the Best Bakery in the Hamptons year over year, and is a destination for locals and tourists alike. With a community of loyal customers and lines that stretch out the door, Tate’s Bake Shop is, as the New York Times noted, “worth putting miles on the odometer.”

So, enjoy a taste of “The Bake Shop Way” with a bag of Kathleen’s delicious cookies!
