Transforming Your Backyard For Summer | Hazel & Hen

Transforming Your Backyard For Summer | Hazel & Hen

As we all know, May & June mark that magical time of year when everything bursts back into it's full potential, and you can feel the warm *almost* summer breeze. It's the season that breathes new life into our surroundings and gets us excited to unpack the patio furniture from winter storage, ready to revitalize the yard once more!

In the spirit of rejuvenating our outdoor spaces, we recently visited our friend Jen (& her two pups!) aka, our one of our favourite local bloggers - Hazel & Hen. It's safe to say that Jen's creativity and inspiring home projects never fail to amaze us and it's always such a wonderful visit.

Her latest DIY project is a living herb wall – how fun is that! The pots are brimming with all her favourite herbs, perfectly positioned right outside her patio door for snipping and adding fresh flavour to summer drinks or dishes whenever needed.

But that's not all! She's transformed her deck into an inviting haven, complete with cozy pillows & throws. And let's not forget the summer-scented candle and tabletop succulent bowl that ties it all together, creating the perfect ambiance for any gathering.

In addition to the herb wall and adding some essentials to her deck, Jen added some unique touches that truly bring her outdoor space to life. She incorporated patio pots to her chicken coop, some bright florals throughout her garden beds and of course some twinkling fairy lights, which cast a magical glow during evening gatherings.

Jen's efforts remind us of the joy & satisfaction that come from sprucing up our own outdoor spaces. Whether it's a quick & simple DIY project, a full-scale renovation project or just a few thoughtful touches, there's nothing quite like creating a personal oasis to enjoy all season long. So, let's get inspired and start our own projects to make the most of this beautiful time of year!
