EcoTea Seed Success

EcoTea Seed Success

Starting seeds and nurturing plants is something we take very seriously around here and with each season we learn new lessons, and continue to be students of nature. As our plants teach us new things and new products emerge on the market, we find new ways to strengthen our soil, grow more vibrant blooms, and keep our plants thriving the way they’re intended to.

This week our focus is on EcoTea™ Seed Success a biological inoculant that will coat the seed with ecologically functional microbes, which will help break seedling dormancy, improve root development, increase nutrient use efficiency and increase resistance to diseases.

Ready for a quick scientific overview:

Microbial inoculants are agricultural amendments that use beneficial rhizosphericic or endophytic microbes to promote plant health.

Mere centimeters below our feet, just beneath grasses, trees, flowers, and moss, lies a complex ecosystem called the rhizosphere. Composed of the soil, fungi, nutrients, and more that surround plant roots, this layer plays an essential role in the well-being of the planet and the growth of the crops needed to feed its inhabitants. Below is an image of what can be found in the rhizosphere ecosystem.

Endophytes are organisms, often fungi and bacteria, that live between living plant cells.

EcoTea Seed Success is a 2-part biological inoculant that will coat the seed with ecologically functional microbes. For use on ALL gardening seeds! This product is EcoCert certified meaning it is approved for organic production.

WORKS ON ALL SEEDS & SOIL MEDIUMS

Applied to seed -

1. Mix 3 parts of A with 1 part of B (3:1 RATIO) in a small container.

2. Once the 2 parts are mixed well, place dry seeds in the bag and shake for a few seconds. Density of coverage will vary depending on seed types but be assured both visible and microscopic particles hosting 1000’s of microbes are on your seed.

3. Remove the seeds from the bag, plant in soil and water lightly. The moisture will break dormancy of the microbes as well as your seed.

4. Use approx. 12 ml per lb of seed.

Applied to Houseplants -

1. Mix 3 parts of A with 1 part of B (3:1 RATIO) in a small container.

2. Prior to watering your houseplant, sprinkle the contents onto the surface of your potted houseplants and lightly incorporate beneath the surface.

3. Water your plant as per your regular routine.

4. Use approx. 30 ml of mixed product per 1 Gallon (3.8 L) of soil.

Dip transplants (plug/root ball) in EcoTea™ Seed Success at time of transplant.

Once Part A & B are blended, they should be used within 24 hours. Repackage unused product in a Ziplock bag or Tupperware container. STORE UNOPENED PRODUCT IN A COOL DARK Location. Safe to handle with bare hands.
