Tis the season to be jolly!

If you’re looking for holiday inspiration to get you in the mood for all things Christmas, look no further! This week marks the beginning of such a magical time of year for so many of us. The snow flocked pines, the smell of evergreens, the twinkling lights...there’s just so much to admire. Christmas brings with it, the gift of nostalgia. Every year when we see these items, we are brought back to warm memories of Christmases past. That’s what makes decorating for the season so special. It is a visual reminder of love and cherished moments. While our décor may evolve over the years, the feeling it brings remains the same. A feeling of joyous celebration.

We wanted the entrance of the store to feel like you were walking into a winter wonderland, so we gathered loads of flocked trees and birch branches and layered them with shades of cream and white and brown. Another reason we started with shades of white is because it is the most versatile colour. Whether you’re sticking to a monochromatic theme like we did, or injecting it into your own style, snowy white goes with everything! These flocked Icelandic Firs are stunning trees. We left some of them undecorated so you can see how gorgeous the trees are on their own. They don’t need much fussing. Because of this, they are so easy to decorate. Ribbon sits beautifully in them and stays put, and ornaments pop against the heavily flocked branches. They are my absolute favourite.

Simple elegance at its best. Deep hunter green and gold are such a fantastic combination. All of the evergreens which we adorn our spaces with over the holidays are already green, adding in green décor brings a certain level of style without feeling cluttered. Gold is a neutral that pairs so wonderfully with green. It adds a warm and luxurious feel that we simply cannot get enough of.

Silver has dominated Christmas décor for decades. It evokes the feeling of fresh snowfall and is even more magical when dusted with a burst of glitter. Whether we actually have a white Christmas here in Canada’s most southern tip or not, it will feel like it with the winning combination of silver and white.

The woodland theme is still a favourite, and with good reason. These magical forest findings tie in with the earthy neutral décor which has dominated interior design lately. The brass animal stocking hangers may be my favourite item in the store this year.
