A New Season in Store

It seems the cold dark days of winter have finally passed us by and we can finally embrace sunshine and (slightly) warmer days. Spring is coming, and I am so ready for it!

 However, having grown up in Ontario, I'm not foolish enough to believe that second winter isn't hiding around the corner, ready to pounce on us when least expected. But, I am wise enough to enjoy these rays of light while I can and soak in some much needed vitamin D.

At home with the family, we've enjoyed spending time in the yard playing and keeping warm by the fire. The afternoons have been so lovely that we have even been able to get a head start on some yard clean up. Boy oh boy, does it feel good!

Meanwhile, back at the garden center, Suzanne and I have been busy cleaning and giving Anna's a much needed facelift after a busy year.

I always make a mental note to take pictures to document a satisfying before and after...but it seems I got carried away with my work and only managed a couple. However, you can see the transfortion is abundant.

In the course of a month, we put a lot of elbow grease into this beloved place. We clean, we rearrange, we level the ground and change the tarps, we paint the walls...heck, this year we even built walls! And then comes the fun part, the part that makes us feel alive and gets our creative juices flowing...unboxing and displaying all of the new merchandise. 

I know I say this every year, but I feel like particularily this year, we have some really gorgeous decor. It can be hard competing with the low prices that big box stores can offer, that is no secret. But the purchasing team at Anna's has really worked hard and sourced out some unique home goods that stand apart from anything the larger chains can offer. The quality and style provided here are top notch, and I am ecstatic to show it off!
