The Madagascar Palm or Pachypodium lamerei, is a flowering succulent native to Africa the island of Madagascar. This plant requires very little water, even less in the winter. Just put it the full sun of a west- or south-facing window and it needs little attention to thrive.
Light: Full Sun
Water: Water thoroughly and allow the top half of soil to dry out between waterings. In winter, water sparingly just to keep the soil from drying out completely.
Temperature: Average room temperatures 65-75°F/18-24°C. Move your plant outdoors for the summer, and bring it back in when the temperature drops; it will tolerate a minimum in winter of 40°F/4°C.
Fertilizer: Feed in spring and summer with a cactus/succulent fertilizer.
