Peppers need a long hot growing season to do well and a very warm outdoor soil temperature to germinate directly (24-28C). Start indoors well before transplanting at least 8-10 weeks. Transplant outdoors after all danger of frost has past and the soil has warmed to at least (20C) during the day and nightly temperature consistently continues to get warmer.
