4" Alocasia Frydek

Also known as the "green velvet" Alocasia. Enjoy its velvety dark green leaves with stark white veining. Commonly grown indoors as a tropical houseplant. A stunning accent to any interior space.

CARE:

Light: Thrives in medium to bright indirect sunlight.

Water: We recommend watering about every 2 weeks, with frequent misting to keep the soil moist. Allow the top 2-3" of soil to dry out between watering to prevent overwatering and root rot. If the edges of the leaves start to turn brown, this is a sign of dryness. 

Fertilizer: Alocasia Frydeck requires more fertilizer than many houseplants. Use a balanced 20-20-20 fertilizer every 3-4 weeks. Stop fertilizing in the Fall and Winter months.

Maintenance: Low maintenance. Placing the houseplant in an area with high humidity is ideal, as moisture is important for this plant to thrive. Ensure that direct sunlight does not come in contact with the leaves, as this could burn the leaves. Prune away any unhealthy leaves.

Growth: 2-3' tall

Toxicity: Toxic to pets if ingested.
