Bluephoria™ Dipladenia

Bluephoria™ Dipladenia

Although we don’t enjoy year-round tropical weather here in Windsor and Essex County, adding tropical plants to our gardens brings a slice of paradise right to our doorsteps. With vibrant colours and lush foliage, they help us create a mini tropical staycation in our very own backyards.

Introducing a stunning new addition to the tropical lineup — Bluephoria™ Dipladenia. This exciting variety stands out with mesmerizing blue flowers that emerge from delicate pink buds, adding an enchanting twist to the traditional Dipladenia palette. It's the perfect conversation piece for any garden or patio display.

A favourite among tropical plant lovers, Dipladenia is known for its lush, glossy green foliage and trumpet-shaped blooms — and Bluephoria™ is no exception. Whether featured in garden beds, borders, or swaying from hanging baskets, this variety delivers a show-stopping colour transition and continuous blooms all season long.

For best results, plant your Bluephoria™ in a spot that receives full sun to partial shade, ideally six to eight hours of sunlight per day. Morning and late afternoon sun are ideal, with a bit of midday protection to keep the blooms vibrant and fresh.

Bluephoria™ Dipladenia thrives in containers, on sunny patios, or in landscape beds, where its nectar-rich blooms attract pollinators like hummingbirds and bees. It's a low-maintenance option that delivers high-impact colour — perfect for busy gardeners, cottage owners, and those who love bold beauty with minimal fuss.

Make sure to use well-draining soil, as this variety is drought-tolerant and prefers to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it’s best to water sparingly and allow the soil to breathe.

Feed your Bluephoria™ every three to four weeks during the growing season with a balanced 20-20-20 water-soluble fertilizer to keep those blooms coming. As temperatures dip below 65°F (18°C), bring your plant indoors and pause fertilizing for the winter months.

No need to deadhead — Bluephoria™ is self-cleaning. However, trimming back the tips in late winter or early spring can help promote bushier growth and even more blooms for the season ahead.

Let Bluephoria™ Dipladenia bring a cool, tropical charm to your space — with its dreamy blue flowers and easy-care nature, it’s sure to become your new garden favourite.

Pssst... When Anna's Club members shop Bluephoria™ Dipladenia in-store from Wednesday, May 28th, until Wednesday, June 4th, they'll receive 20% off!
